With ingredients from the farm and the surrounding region, the menu has plenty of choice for homestyle German cooking. The place is on a farm, 15 minutes outside Speyer and 25 minutes from Heidelberg. If you’re too full for dessert, you can take cakes away from the bakery across from the farm shop, which has a lovely range of local and farm foods.

We had a lovely garden table for Sunday lunch with our 9 year old daughter, celebrating our wedding anniversary. The garden is quaint and secluded, and there’s a little playground for young kids. We tried the hamburger, flank steak, and sausage. That burger was mouth watering, especially with the extra jalapeños. We shared apple crumble and vanilla ice cream afterward, an irresistible combination. I happily broke my keto diet for the meal. A friend had recommended the restaurant, and we’d definitely return with friends and family. Book a table, and if you want to walk off some calories afterward, there’s a corn maze nearby.

The liver dumpling was out of this world, and the gravy went so well with it, the wurst, sauerkraut, and bread it came with. My boyfriend had a juicy, tasty burger with potato fries. We also shared a spring salad with quiche and a special almond(?) dipping sauce, which I loved. I came from the United States for a vacation in Germany, and my boyfriend brought me here because he says the restaurant has seasonal menus and uses fresh ingredients. The food was amazing, and I had a good time. I’ll definitely come back on another visit! ❤

The food was really delicious and the prices seemed fair. Larissa was friendly and attentive. I dropped by again after a while and was lucky to get a seat without a reservation, though I’d definitely recommend booking ahead.

A cozy local farm shop and restaurant with plenty of healthy choices. The staff are really friendly. There can be a few wasps around, but that’s what you get eating out in nature.
