Our Christmas 2024 stay at Bäumchen was lovely. We were welcomed so warmly that it felt like home, and we wanted for nothing during those 10 days. We were really sad when it was time to leave. We'd love to return, and I'd highly recommend it for children.

The guest card was a real bonus, with free public transport such as a trip to Freiburg or the hiking bus after a walk. The apartment is tucked away in a very quiet spot, but the A500 is close enough to make driving to other places easy. On clear, sunny days the terrace has a stunning view of the Swiss mountains, and there's a big wooden table for eating outside. A farm shop is also within walking distance. Inside, the apartment is spacious, beautifully furnished, well cared for, and has a well-equipped kitchen. The landlady welcomed us warmly and offered tips on restaurants, shopping, and other things to do. Families with young children will find plenty of toys, a garden trampoline, and children's films for the living-room DVD player, which came in handy in bad weather. Wi-Fi works perfectly, but mobile reception is limited. Only Swiss networks are available, so this may not suit you if you need reliable cell service. Highly recommended for families with children.
