Hotel Heinz

The breakfast was good, and the hotel was quiet. I also liked the gym. The building layout was confusing, and it was hard to find my way around. The pool water was cool. The restaurant dishes looked lovely but didn’t taste good.

I had a nice work stay at hotel heinz. Dinner and breakfast were very good, and the restaurant employees were friendly. But a booking change through our travel agency went wrong when I added an extra night. I stay in this area regularly, and this was my first time at hotel heinz. I travel across Europe and the Americas and have been to India regularly, but I’ve never had a receptionist yell at me like that. She pointed at me, screamed that it was all my fault, and couldn’t control her emotions. They had apparently found two rooms booked under my name the morning before the last night, but still wanted me to pay for both bookings. That was an awful customer experience, and we don’t want our customers to be exposed to it if they stay there. We’re waiting for a reply to an email from our travel agency. We’ll see what happens.

We stopped by for the final Wimbledon 2023 game and spent time at the bar, where we ate and tried some local wine. We didn’t stay overnight, but the service was great, the food and drinks were excellent, and the atmosphere was lovely. Hotel Heinz has a nice design inside and out, and the grounds are pretty too. I’d like to stay there properly one day.

The food was fantastic on our half-board plan, with lots of seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. We also loved the spa, with indoor and outdoor spaces, and the hotel rents out mountain bikes and e-bikes. We took a lovely little ride through the forest. It’s a family-run hotel in a beautiful Westerwald setting, with fantastic staff and facilities in great condition. Although it’s quite large, it has plenty of character and feels cosy. Highly recommend it.
