Ok!!!! I NEVER give five stars because I feel a hotel or restaurant can always improve its service, but this place really had everything on the ball. It’s one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in years. The rooms felt warm and homely, the beds were really comfortable, and the whole place was immaculately clean and well maintained. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really good, with tasty fresh food and a big choice of meats, cheeses, and breads. We ate in their restaurant all three nights, and the food was spot on. They also handled the mrs’s celiac disease really competently.

Dinner was outstanding, with delicious regional and international dishes and a great wine selection. The breakfast buffet was fresh, rich, and varied. Rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with beautiful views of the Weser River. Staff from reception to housekeeping and the restaurant were professional, polite, and always helpful. Room service was fast and efficient, the wellness area was relaxing, and parking was easy and free. The location is convenient for the old town, river promenade, and hiking spots. Check-in and check-out both went smoothly. Hotel Niedersachsen – Ringhotel Höxter is one of the finest places I’ve stayed in Germany, a luxury experience with warmth and care. Highly recommended for families, couples, and business travellers.

The hotel has special meaning for us: it’s where my mother worked 38 years ago. After coming to Höxter again 38 years later, I was eager to stay there with my family for two nights this week. I was very happy to see that some things had been preserved over those 38 years while the hotel continued to renew itself. It’s in a small town, but the second generation of the founding family now runs it with great professionalism. Their friendliness and helpfulness really pleased me. I look forward to returning soon. I was glad to see they actually follow their towel policy. If you want a fresh towel, leave it on the floor; hanging it up means you’re happy to use it again. That helps cut down on laundry, water use, and soap going into the water. At other hotels I’ve found the notice gets ignored and new towels turn up anyway, but here they stuck to it. The staff were friendly and helpful, too. The wellness area is great, with a pool, massages, and more, and the breakfast buffet had plenty of variety for different tastes and needs. Well done!

The secure underground parking made our stay comfortable, and I’d happily come back. The rooms are modern and lovely, with a fabulous bathroom and a large shower. Breakfast was very nice as well.
