Hotel Pause

The thoughtful free coffee, tea, and biscuits were available any time, and there’s a decent pizzeria within walking distance. There aren’t any grocery stores nearby. My room at Hotel Pause in Hofheim was spacious and clean, with a big bathroom and a comfortable bed. Parking was convenient, too. A taxi to Frankfurt Airport cost between €25 and €40, depending on traffic. The lovely woman at the front desk kindly let me check out three hours later, which I really appreciated. The hotel is very nice, and I definitely recommend it.

It’s a quiet spot near a bakery, pizzeria, and supermarket, and worked well for being close to the airport. My husband and I had a great two-night stay. The room was clean and spacious, and the shower had excellent water pressure, which can be an issue in budget places. Free hot drinks and packaged snacks by the lobby coffee machine were my favorite part. It’s not a luxury hotel, but the lobby feels homey, and the staff are friendly, with a warm, pleasant atmosphere. I’d improve the room lighting. It also felt a little cold, though I didn’t check whether the heat could be turned up.

Rates are very cheap, and the rooms are spacious. The staff are helpful, and there’s free coffee at reception. Be careful using the kettle, since smoke detectors are everywhere and accidentally setting one off could mean a fine. Also, reception closes at night, so there’s no staff around then.

We booked at the last minute as a family and got an excellent deal. We called 20 minutes before 10 pm because we couldn’t arrive earlier, and they waited for us. The staff were very professional, and the room, bathroom, and common areas were exceptionally clean. Our business room was spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. It was a lovely, quiet place. Definitely recommend it, one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at so far.
