Right by a lovely river on the Malerweg, the location is ideal, and our room was pleasant and clean. The staff were friendly too. Meals were the letdown: dinner came with cheap frozen vegetables that didn't taste good, and the pumpkin soup had an odd flavor. The included breakfast the next morning also tasted like inexpensive mass-produced food.

The bed was too hard for me, and the room WiFi didn't work, though it worked fine in the restaurant. Still, I'd happily stop for a meal any day, and staying over is convenient. The restaurant deserves full marks: service was attentive, breakfast was good, and my Game Gulasch had great flavor and a good sauce. It could have looked smarter, but the taste was already excellent. There's a beer garden too, if that's what you're after. One night on a firm bed isn't the end of the world.

A handy little gem on the Malerweg. The annex rooms are great and the prices are very reasonable. The food is simple rather than fancy, but it's tasty and generous, just right after a hike. Breakfast is the same way.

We spent a whole week here, and it was perfectly placed for hiking. Service was great, and we appreciated the varied breakfast buffet and the picnic to take along for the day. The bedrooms were nice, close by, and clean.

Lovely setting and good value for money. We were glad to see a couple of vegan dishes on the menu: the spinach strudel and soy nuggets were both tasty, though a little simple. I'd recommend it.
