We found this hotel by chance on a late night drive back to the UK, and were so glad we did. Our family room was breathtaking, with a large living area, a mezzanine and a huge double bed. The bathroom was huge too, with a big bath and a separate shower room. Staff were lovely. Breakfast had an incredible range of quality food, beautifully set out, and eating on the terrace was perfect. I’d highly recommend it.

The restaurant was very good. We loved the Schnitzel, fish and Apfel Strudel, and breakfast was more than we expected. We stayed for one night on our way home. The hotel is beautiful inside and out, set in lovely surroundings by nature and a little town. The staff were so friendly, and our room had a tub.

I arrived very late, so didn’t get to look around at first. The room was beautiful, spread over two floors, and the bathroom was almost as big as the room. Everything was clean and well organized. In the morning I saw the lovely view from my balcony. Breakfast was excellent, and the marmalades were awesome. A couple of things could be better: cheese should be kept separate from meat, the toaster should be bigger, and there should be sliced tomato, cucumber and black olives. I didn’t expect a hotel like this in the middle of nowhere. I’m seriously thinking of coming back for a couple of days.

The buffet breakfast was good, but the sleep setup made this a poor choice for families. We booked a double bed for my husband and me, an extra bed for our 4-year-old son and a baby bed for our 1 1/2-year-old daughter. There was enough room, but the extra bed was a sofa bed that was terribly uncomfortable. My son complained that his back hurt, and we could feel the hard metal parts sticking through the mattress. No one could sleep on it. It was already late after a wedding celebration and the kids were exhausted, so we didn’t ask to change rooms then. The baby bed was also very old and clearly no longer in good condition, as the pictures show. There were no blinds on the big window, so the room was very bright at 8pm and the children were bothered and couldn’t fall asleep easily. It also woke us early when we wanted to sleep a bit longer. The next day we put all this on the form and spoke to the woman at Reception when we checked out, but never got any feedback. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this hotel to families.
