We had good breakfasts, free parking, and a nice environment. The rooms are very spacious, with large balconies and a great view. Right by Highway 7, so it’s convenient for a traveler’s overnight stop or a full vacation.

There’s a big sauna and the breakfast was good. The hotel is nice, near the lake and mountains, with a pleasant view of Neuschweinstein castle. A restaurant is available too, though I didn’t eat there.

The room was large and clean, with a balcony and a nice view. We’d asked for a double bed, but there were two single beds pushed together. There’s no air conditioning. The reception closes by 11pm, so keep your keys with you, or you won’t be able to get back into the hotel after that. Dinner is served only until 8 pm. There’s free parking, and the hotel is 10 minutes by car from the Fussen city center and 15 minutes from the Castle.

The views and rooms were great, but it was the hospitality that earned this five-star rating. Hermann and his lovely wife Zeljka welcomed my family and me like one of their own and showed us how true Germans treat their guests. I’d recommend staying here to anyone. I’ll definitely make the trip back to catch up with my new-found friends. I’d also highly recommend the schnitzel.

The terrace looks out over Neuschwanstein castle, the surrounding mountains, and Hopfensee, all in a stunning landscape. With good service and typical Bavarian food, it’s a really good choice in the Füssen area.
