The food was really tasty, and my meat order came with a whole platter of sides. Our little one had a great time on the nice playground too. We did wait more than 15 minutes without anyone taking our order, though there were quite a few staff around and it wasn't very busy. Check the opening days before going, since I think it's closed Tuesday through Thursday. I can only speak for the restaurant and its playground.

A food vending machine outside sells local products, and they sometimes put on events like the WURSTSALATFEST, with 20 different sausage salad varieties. The rooms have the same charm as the inn, prices are good, and the area is great for hiking and mountain biking. This rustic, rural place serves top notch regional food in a really lovely setting. It's a Black Forest treasure, Schwarzwald Perle, well off the beaten track. Make the detour for authentic Black Forest food and genuine, unpretentious hosts. Support places like this, they seem to be getting rarer.
