B&B HOTEL Idar-Oberstein

Very clean and tidy, and the hotel feels brand new. There are six charging stations. Just be aware that after four hours of charging, a blocking fee of 0.10 ct per minute applies.

We had a family room with a queen bed for the adults and bunk beds for the kids, which worked well for four of us. Air conditioning was a real plus in the warm weather, around 80°F (about 27°C). The hotel is an easy walk into town and up to the church and castle. It's easy to reach from the main road, with private parking out front, and getting into the room with the digital code was simple. The staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't have breakfast there since we ate in town, though coffee was complimentary. Booking was easy too. We stayed in June 2025 and would come back.

The staff were wonderful. The breakfast buffet setup was awkward, though, with several people having to squeeze past each other to reach cups and plates. Our beds had a lot of odd padding on the linen, and they felt extremely small for a three-bedroom room with no storage.

Centrally located in I-O, with clean rooms and lovely staff. There was ample parking, a roomy breakfast area, a lounge in the lobby, and an outdoor patio.
