I'm posting through my husband's account since he stayed too; the review option was blocked for me. We booked this apartment and were very unhappy with it. I was furious at how dirty it was. It looked like nobody had cleaned after the previous guest. Crumbs covered the countertops, dust was everywhere, and the fridge was dirty. There were cobwebs in the oven, the kettle was disgusting, and the shower was filthy. The pantry was an old, mismatched mess that you wouldn't want to use. I cleaned the place myself just so I could feel comfortable. The path to the apartment had no lighting, so getting there after dark felt like an adventure. This doesn't deserve a 9.2 rating, more like a 5 at most. I can't recommend it.

They made sure I had a bicycle to explore Ilmenau, and when I arrived by train, the landlords offered to collect me from the station and take me back when I left. They were easy to reach on WhatsApp and Signal, too. Because renovation scheduling conflicted, they moved me to another apartment that was bigger, very spacious and comfortable. They were exceptionally kind and looked after me so well. I'd love to return. I've already told my family we could come to Ilmenau in winter, especially since it even snowed in April! :)

The owners were so friendly, and the apartment was tidy, well cared for, and had everything we needed. It was tastefully furnished and decorated. We had a wonderful stay, including a fantastic barbecue evening. Highly recommend this vacation apartment. We'll definitely return 😉

We always enjoy coming back. It's a spacious holiday apartment with great equipment, and they even offer bread delivery. The landlords are very nice. 👍🌞

The rooms were clean and tidy, and the family living there was super nice. It's a very nice vacation apartment at an affordable price. I'd happily stay again.
