We got a warm welcome from the very friendly local hosts. The place is in a lovely spot, sparkling clean, with a fireplace, modern kitchen, and nice bedrooms and living room.

The kitchen had everything we needed, which is a rarity, and the furnishings were beautiful. We felt incredibly at home at Villa Frübing. Its magnificent garden is almost a park, a lovely, calming view for stressed city people first thing in the morning. Ilmenau is surrounded by a beautiful historic cultural landscape with plenty of wonderful things to do. We'd love to come back!

A great base for all kinds of excursions, and close enough to the city center restaurants. The apartment is cozy, practical, and lovingly furnished, with everything you need to cook for yourself. Just the kind of holiday apartment you hope to find.

From the villa, you can head out on fantastic tours in the beautiful Thuringian Forest. It's a true historical monument in a prime spot in Ilmenau. The renovation was done professionally and to a high standard a few years ago, and both the apartment and the whole house are in excellent shape. Everything is clean, tidy, and tastefully furnished, thanks in part to the very friendly hosts.
