The view of Bodensee from our room and the restaurant terrace was stunning, and the cool lake air coming through the open windows at night was so refreshing. The room was comfortable and spotless, and everyone on staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. We had an amazing stay. The well deserved Michelin star restaurant made it even better, with outstanding food and an excellent server. If you’re trying to choose a place to visit along the extensive BodenSee, this is the one.

The setting at Heinzler am See is peaceful and beautiful, right beside Lake Constance. The food is consistently top quality, with real attention to detail, and the staff are warm, welcoming, and very professional. A lovely place to relax and enjoy life.

The location deserves five stars. Get a table outside and you’ll have a beautiful view over the Lake of Constance. We went on a gorgeous summer day, but the restaurant was packed, and it seemed there weren’t enough staff. Everything felt rushed and a bit chaotic. One main course arrived 10-15 minutes after everyone else’s, even though the waiter had been told. Our wine glasses stayed empty for a long time, and the service just wasn’t on point. I can imagine it’s better when the restaurant isn’t so full. The starters were all great and turned out to be the highlight. Some mains were tasty and well executed, as expected for this price range, but others were disappointing in both flavor and presentation for a slightly upscale restaurant. I’d give the food four stars, service three, and location five.

The restaurant had great service, a broad range of local wines, and regional specialties. The hotel itself feels like a little piece of paradise, suited to vacations or business stays. It’s just steps from the lake, with views of the snow covered alps. The rooms are well appointed and blend a traditional feel with modern touches.
