The breakfast was one of the best I've had, and the coffee was excellent too. We arrived a day earlier than planned, but they sorted it out quickly. Everyone was so friendly. This stop on our football golf tour through Austria, Germany, and Czechia will be one of the highlights. We’d happily recommend it 👍

Marnix’s story about how he came to run Alpenliebe Design Hotel was really inspiring. He and the other owners put a lot of care into the personal touches, and we had a great stay. The hotel was clean, the breakfast was nice, and the location was great. We’d love to come back.

The rooms were clean and modern, with comfy beds and useful touches like a Nespresso machine. The host was nice too. Food was the weak spot for me. Breakfast didn’t have much variety, and some of the fruit was old. I even saw a moldy peach. The dinner menu sounded appealing, but the starter and dessert both disappointed. The main course was good. For a €40 menu I wasn’t expecting Michelin star food, just simple dishes made with good, fresh ingredients. The starter looked like something from the 80s, and the dessert used very low quality chocolate, which doesn’t work for me.

The host was fantastic, and breakfast was hearty and delicious. It’s a great base for outdoor adventures, with a nice beer garden next door. The rooms and shared bathrooms were very clean, and the hotel was great value.

Marnix made the stay for me. He’s a fantastic person and owner who really wants your trip to go well. I found the hotel on a whim while visiting Germany, and the beds and food were both great. I’m planning to return sometime soon and wouldn’t choose anywhere else in the area.
