Pension Marianne

Marianne was so friendly, and the breakfast was delicious. The guesthouse is cozy and in a fantastic spot, and everything was clean. We felt right at home and would definitely come back.

Breakfast was a highlight for us each morning. The buffet was excellent, the cozy breakfast room made it easy to chat with other guests, and the hostess brought a warm, friendly atmosphere. The separate drying room was also a really practical place for wet clothes, shoes, or umbrellas. Pension Marianne is just outside the center of Inzell, so it's peaceful but only a few minutes' walk into town. Everything was clean and well looked after. Mrs. Madsack was attentive and helpful, with tips for restaurants, hikes, outings using the Chiemgau Card, and bus connections. Her enthusiasm for her work really shows. We felt at ease and wholeheartedly recommend staying here.

The location was handy, with a gas station, discount shops, a pharmacy, and plenty of restaurants nearby. Salzburg is 40 minutes away, Bad Reichenhall and its spa just a few minutes, and Munich an hour and a half. The owner also provided a Chiemgau Card for free chairlift rides and visits to local museums. In January 2025, we stayed in a beautiful, well-cared-for place, with free WiFi and parking right outside. Our room had every comfort, including a table and bench, chocolates, and a welcome bottle of water. The heating could be adjusted, and the bathroom had a hairdryer, shower gel, hand soap, and spare towels. The bed felt like a cloud. Breakfast had a huge selection: sweet and savory foods, white and whole wheat bread, cold cuts, cheeses, tomatoes, cucumbers, avocados, cereals, jams, Nutella, yogurt, cake by the slice, and soft-boiled eggs on request. There was really everything. The guesthouse also had a fully equipped kitchen for cooking, drinks and spirits available for a fee, and a lounge with a traditional "Stube" (traditional Tuscan parlor). The owner was incredibly kind and gave us great suggestions for dining and exploring the area. We'll be back!

We felt very comfortable in this quiet, cozy family-run guesthouse and would definitely return. Our room was well equipped, with a balcony overlooking the surrounding mountains. Breakfast was excellent and offered plenty of variety.
