Hotel Restaurant Krone

The restaurant’s local food was delicious, and we had a great stay in this hotel with its spacious rooms. We especially enjoyed dinner outside. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the location made it easy to walk to the little town of Itzlingen.

We thought the hotel was excellent value. Our room was comfortable and clean, the bathroom had occitane products, and breakfast was fresh. I’d read complaints about dirty rooms, but in my view they’re ridiculous. The restaurant served delicious food and had a good wine selection. It was a little expensive, but the quality made that seem fair, and the service was easy.

The food was outstanding, and the staff were attentive and really nice. The decor and service felt five star, with art in the luxe rooms, air conditioning, a roomy bathroom, and a great view through the big double windows. I stayed for Art Basel and saved a lot compared with people staying in town near the event. The taxis were absurdly expensive, but even with that cost I still saved more. It was only a 20 minute ride to the city center. I’d love to stay again.

There was no information about the minibar or Wi-Fi, and I think guests should be told that the minibar costs extra. The heating wasn’t working, and it was so frustrating to be told there was no one there. It was the worst. What are they supposed to do if my children catch a cold?
