The people at reception were nice and helpful, and the surrounding countryside is beautiful. But the rooms have serious noise issues: I could hear someone talking on the phone all night from a neighboring room, and there's no insulation. Water running through the heating system is annoying too. I saw two kinds of insects, one crawling on the bed and others flying around the light with an irritating buzz. The sloped ceiling made me hit my head twice while sitting on the bed, and the only room light is right above it, which disturbed my sleep.

The rooms were clean, and breakfast was decent. Some of the staff speak English, and the service was OK. The special meals were delicious, too. On the downside, the internet barely managed a WhatsApp call, and you can hear everything from the next room. The single rooms are small and get hot in summer. There were lots of insects, probably because the place is in the middle of nowhere, and the building has an old wood smell.

Breakfast was OK, and the forest setting made it easy to sleep despite being right by the road. The rooms are a little dated, and the beds are closer to student-sized, but they were fine. It has the feel of a classic East German place. Don't pick it for a late-night stop away from the Autobahn if you need food after hours, unless you're willing to go into a nearby town.
