The food was good at both the restaurant and breakfast, and I liked that hot breakfast dishes like eggs were made to order and arrived hot. The breakfast room and restaurant are separate, with dogs allowed in one of them. Dogs are very welcome here, just be sure to book a room that allows them. The internet, both WiFi and mobile, kept cutting in and out. Still, that gave me a chance to take a break from being online. The sauna is romantic and can be booked for private use, though it’s included. Great staff and a fantastic stay all around.

The green parks and forests around Kaarz Castle make for a lovely place to walk and unwind. Inside, the historic castle has a calm, comfortable feel, and it’s a welcome break from the rush of the city. A wonderful spot to enjoy nature alongside the history and beauty of the place. Definitely worth visiting.

What stood out was the friendly staff, always ready to help. We also loved the generous space and the striking surroundings of this beautiful castle. It felt regal and comfortable, and the hospitality was genuine.

The service was excellent, and the restaurant alone is worth the drive even if you’re not staying at the hotel. Our room was bright, clean, and comfortable. A wonderful hotel and restaurant.

The vegetarian options at the restaurant were fantastic, which can be rare in this part of Germany. Frau Laube was especially lovely and helped make the stay feel homely, as did the rest of the staff. The sauna wagon and modern rooms were highlights, and the whole place is wonderfully set in nature. I can’t recommend it enough.
