Good Morning + Halle - Leipzig

I won't choose this hotel again. After going out of my way, passing dozens of other hotels and taking a taxi specifically to stay here, I was really disappointed by how things went. I'd stayed in countless hotels, but never had housekeeping knock at 8:30 in the morning after just one night. Check-out is at noon, so why disturb guests that early? It felt like a serious disregard for privacy and came across as unprofessional. This left me shocked and convinced the hotel doesn't care much about professionalism or guest satisfaction.

The 24-hour reception staff were professional and kind, and check-in took about 30 seconds. Breakfast was freshly served, with a nice amount of choice. Great value for the price, I'd definitely recommend this place.

I can't recommend the hotel. We booked late at night, but still a couple of hours before arriving, and found the room hadn't been cleaned after the previous guests. After we'd checked in and paid, we couldn't get another room. I asked the receptionist for clean sheets so we could make the beds again. He was polite and nice, and it wasn't his fault, but dealing with all this late at night was really frustrating.

We were driving through Germany and the hotel was well located for an overnight stop. Parking right outside was perfect, and the staff let us bring our bicycle into the room, which we really appreciated. Breakfast was good and clean, at a decent price. The big problem was payment: I'd already prepaid through booking.com, but staff still asked me to pay at the front desk, so I paid twice. It took over a week and several emails to get them to acknowledge the mistake. They eventually refunded one of the payments they'd wrongly initiated.
