We enjoyed our stay here with our family and dogs. The holiday home is quiet and well equipped, and the management was friendly and quick to respond. A few kitchen lights were broken, but the caretaker came promptly. There’s enough room in the shed to lock away something like a bike rack. The driveway is narrow and sharply angled, so our minivan couldn’t turn through in one go. There’s parking in front for two vehicles, plus a carport. Wi-Fi requires a guest opt-in through a website each time, which is annoying, especially for streaming, but the connection is fast once it’s working. O2 reception is poor at the property. That’s not the house’s fault, but may be useful to know, particularly given O2’s claims about its recently award-winning network. A landline and Voice over Wi-Fi do keep you reachable. You can start a 1 km dog walk along the Schlei right from the house, or take a 3.8 km loop through the next district toward Kappeln. Joggers and cyclists can head toward Kappeln, 4.5 km along the road, go toward Arnis by ferry and return via Kappeln, or continue south beside the Schlei. The route alternates sunny and shady stretches, with the occasional inn along the way.

The area is lovely, and the place has everything you need for a holiday, even coffee makers. Inside, it’s clean, modern, cozy, and spacious, with new furniture, a beautiful garden, and a great sauna. I’d definitely recommend it.

A very pretty house, and quiet at night with little traffic. They welcome you warmly and say goodbye just as warmly.
