Harbour House

The house itself was gorgeous, beautifully furnished with a lot of care. We used the sauna and fireplace every day, and the roof terrace had a magnificent view. Still, the setting made it hard to relax. The resort is under construction, with a huge building site and “millions” of similar holiday homes, and trucks passed the house every two minutes. Workers next door spent three days doing repairs with a cherry picker. It’s outside any town, so there’s little nearby infrastructure beyond the Edeka supermarket with its bakery and bistro, plus three or four shops. Such a shame, because the house was really beautiful.

The apartment is in a lovely location and well equipped, with all the amenities.

The terraces facing the harbor are sheltered enough that we could even have a relaxed breakfast outside in March, despite the breeze by the Baltic Sea. We first noticed Harbour House from outside in the fall, and the sunny half immediately appealed to us. On site, the location between the Baltic Sea and the Schlei fjord lived up to that first impression. We spent a week at Baltic Sea Resort Olpenitz and were delighted. Inside, the three bedrooms have comfortable box-spring beds, and we slept wonderfully with the fresh sea air and all those sunny hours. The house is stylish and full of thoughtful details, with quality furnishings, designer kitchenware, modern outdoor furniture, and a cozy fireplace. New living-room furniture adds to the cool feel. The ventilation system kept the indoor climate pleasant, and the house was exceptionally clean and fresh. It’s clearly not set up for pets, which made the living experience especially pleasant for us. Port54 also gave us great restaurant and excursion tips, and the service was excellent. Harbour House and Port54 make a combination we can wholeheartedly recommend. We’ll definitely return! The Meier Family
