Strandhaus Libelle

The sandy beach right outside is in a beautiful location, and the house has a nice layout over three floors. The room upstairs has a particularly lovely view. Still, the dated IKEA furniture took away from the stay a bit. There’s also a €20 per night charge for a dog that wasn’t clear when booking, and having all the extra costs billed separately feels excessive at this price.

Strandhaus Libelle was clean and well looked after, and the location was absolutely fantastic. We had everything we needed for our weekend, including a coffee maker, kettle, dishes and pots. We were very happy with the stay and would definitely return. :)

The private beach and the setting are wonderful, but I don’t think the price matches what you get. Quite a few things were already broken, including the hand blender and broom, and the furnishings felt plain and haphazard. The beach chair was almost falling apart, the parasol needed fixing on site, and the clothes rack was awful. I expected a little more luxury for this price.

The house was spotless, especially the bathrooms, shower, kitchen and bedrooms, and check-in was easy. We could arrange our arrival flexibly, pick up the key from the safe by the front door as agreed, and park right outside. The local service provider was very friendly, and the handover went smoothly. We also thought the price was fair. Strandhaus Libelle’s location on the sandy beach is beautiful, just a short walk from the water. Every window looks out either to the sea, with boats often passing, or to the marina. The sauna on the second floor, with its sea view, made for a special atmosphere. The house isn’t huge, but there was plenty of room for the three of us and our dog. We travel a lot and have stayed in many places, and found the comfort high and the decor stylish and harmonious. The bedrooms, living and dining area, and fitted kitchen had internet-enabled TVs, DVD players and internet connections. The spacious lower-level TV was even 3D-capable, with glasses provided. Wi-Fi worked throughout the house and on the terraces. The natural stone floors looked lovely, the closets had plenty of storage, and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed for a longer stay, from a ceramic cooktop and oven to a dishwasher, microwave, hand mixer, cooking utensils and plenty of dishes. We found the whirlpool in the spacious bathtub very relaxing too. The separate shower on the second floor sits beside the sauna, so it was easy to cool off under the rain shower. I can wholeheartedly recommend this holiday home. It certainly won’t be our last stay.
