Südspeicher

The conservatory and terrace overlooking the Schlei and the double drawbridge were a highlight, and breakfast was generous and really tasty. From the moment we arrived, the welcome felt warm and we settled in right away. The whole team, from reception to housekeeping and the bistro, was friendly and attentive. The decor has lovely details and feels cozy without being crowded. We also appreciated how genuinely the hotel follows its sustainability principles. We'd happily return.

Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and we found the hotel very nice. Check-in is generally done at a machine, though bistro staff can help if you arrive while it's open. The underground garage won't work well for a large or long car, so an outdoor parking spot is a better choice in that case. A lovely place.

We'd booked a table and came just for breakfast, not as hotel guests, at the newly renovated south granary. The view straight out to the Schlei was lovely, and the price felt very fair. There was beekeeper's honey, scrambled eggs, coffee, Nutella, orange juice, minced meat with onions, fine sausage, cheese and tasty rolls. I was completely happy with it. The staff were so friendly and genuinely welcoming, and even though I rarely pay to eat out, I'll definitely come back. As a tradeswoman, I know feedback and tips help keep people motivated and quality up, so leave a tip or at least a kind word.

We had a really nice time at the hotel, and sitting in the conservatory at night with the Schlei in view was especially pleasant. Music was playing all the time, though, and there wasn't any staff around to ask about it, just the online "Schlei-Bot." I found that whole setup a bit too technical. Still, thumbs up overall.
