B&B Hotel Kassel-City

The room was clean, but I was caught off guard by the extra costs when booking a hotel: €10 for parking, €13 for breakfast, plus city tax. There wasn't even a bottle of water in the room, which was inconvenient. It would be much better if Booking showed the final price with all fees and if water were provided.

I spent over 125 a night, and it wasn't a good experience. The basin was dirty, and my new towel wasn't folded properly or neatly stacked with the others. I thought it was a no-smoking B&B, so why did the whole passageway smell of weed, grass, or dagga? There was no alarm either. They had a bus full of people from Dänemark, and the breakfast queues were a pain. It was chaos instead of staggering the guests.

I’ve found B&B Hotels to be clean and practical, with comfortable beds. Hotel B&B Kassel was easy to park at, which made the stay simpler. A solid, clean option when you’re on a small budget, whether you’re travelling for work or just need a place to rest on the road.

The hotel is an easy walk from the centre, with plenty of public transport nearby. I was lucky to be in town on a Wednesday and saw the waterfall and fountain at Bergpark Wilhelmshohen in the west, both looking their best on a summer afternoon. I’d stayed at B&B Hotels in Rosenheim before and was glad to try the Kassel one on this holiday stop. Parking was no hassle since I could book a space in advance. The room was clean and had what I needed: blackout curtains, windows that open, air conditioning, good lighting, towels, soap and shower gel, and a decent power shower. There are vending machines for a late snack or beer, too. The staff were friendly, and I slept comfortably. I usually walk around town before breakfast, so I didn’t eat at the hotel. Booking through the website was easy. Recommended!
