I got unexpectedly stuck in Kassel for the weekend, so I made the best of it by sightseeing and visiting Grimmwelt. The place was impeccably clean, reasonably priced through booking.com, and had free WLAN (WiFi) and easy access to local transport. The kitchen was fully equipped with pans, plates, and a coffee maker, which was superb. I'll come back. I took off a star because German isn't my first language and, with the difference in customer service culture, it was hard to talk to someone when I had a problem. The WLAN instructions weren't noticeable, so I embarrassingly called the owner for the password. I also struggled with the house keys. Please explain which way to wiggle them. It may seem like a small thing, but it matters when you're new in town. Clear instructions for the appliances would help too. I had to try several cords to get one of the kitchen fridges working. The one that worked had been unplugged, with old ice cream bars inside. Instructions don't have to be in English, Google Translate's photo mode works.

There's everything you need in this clean, fully equipped place. It's ideal for big groups, with unlimited barbecue facilities. The landlord was super friendly and left nothing to be desired. We'll definitely celebrate here again.

Everything was clean, and parking was right outside. Wi-Fi was available too. The landlord was very nice, and I'd gladly stay here again.

We were very satisfied. The landlord was kind and helpful, and even arriving spontaneously was completely stress-free. Our apartment was in a small wooden cabin with everything we needed. It was clean and, most importantly, quiet. The beds were a little worn, so I'm taking off one star.
