Hotel Schweizer Hof Kassel

Getting in and out was easy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There’s a tram stop right outside, which made getting around simple. Breakfast had a wide selection, including eggs, bacon, cheese, yogurt, fresh fruit and bread. Our room was clean and spacious, with a safe, a refrigerated minibar and, unexpectedly, a bathtub. A nice hotel.

We spent five nights in a junior suite, which worked well as a place to work. The bed was too soft for us, and the shower was a bit cramped, with no tub. Still, we had a very good stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was very good with nice service, and the tram right outside goes where you need it to. Two things struck me as odd: the coffee pods for the in-room machine cost one euro, and the Wi-Fi signal in our room was unacceptable, though better downstairs. We get up very early, before coffee is available in the dining area. Even with those issues, I’d highly recommend it if you’re in Kassel.

The staff were very humble and helpful, and the service was excellent. Breakfast was excellent too, and the location is perfect for exploring the city. The rooms were a little small. Best hotel 👌🏼👌🏼

There are plenty of places to eat nearby, and the hotel is well located: a short walk from the long-distance train station, with street rail stops outside that go straight to downtown Kassel. Our room was clean and in good shape, and breakfast was excellent. For a 3-star place, it was excellent. Our rate was very exaggerated, more like 4.5 stars (Documenta).
