Clean and nice.

The food was delicious, and there was lots of room for the school group to sit together. The service was friendly and adjusted to what we needed. All the activities we booked had been well prepared, and the arrangements were clearly communicated.

The Gimbsheim Brass Band rented the youth hostel last weekend, and we had a successful stay. The staff were friendly and worked with us to arrange how we could use the common and rehearsal rooms. The hosts said there were five rehearsal spaces, though the two attic rooms are beside each other and only partly suitable for rehearsing. The food was tasty, and vegetarian meals were available when arranged in advance. Thanks to the chef. Unfortunately, a communication mix-up meant there was less food on Saturday. The rooms were what you’d expect at a youth hostel, each with its own toilet and shower, and everything, bathrooms included, was clean. Several refugees are housed there. We were clearly told which areas they would use, and we had hardly any contact. Many thanks for a very successful weekend.

We had booked the house for our exclusive use, but only found out on arrival that young adults were staying there too. Some situations followed that made us cut our stay short. I got the impression that profit matters more than the safety of paying guests.
