Stadthaus Kaufbeuren

The large apartment/house was beautiful and very clean throughout. The decor was tasteful, with lots of attention to detail, and the beds were really comfortable. It’s very central, and just a two-minute walk away there’s a charging station with two outlets, so it works for electric cars too. We can recommend this accommodation without hesitation.

I stayed in the vacation apartment for four weeks. Its central spot in Kaufbeuren’s old town meant quite a bit of noise, so I had to keep the windows shut, especially at night. The furnishings were adequate, but an old sewing machine was the only workspace and dining area in the room. Sometimes the cupboards smelled unpleasant when opened. I couldn’t drink the tap water during my whole stay because, according to the landlord, the water softener made it taste unpleasantly bitter. The bathroom window looked onto the courtyard (see photos) and had no privacy screen. I asked the landlord to install one, but the request was ignored. Garbage cans, also used by the nearby restaurant, stood right outside the window.

A little café, but a lovely one ☺️ The cake was really fresh and the cappuccino was delicious 👍 The service is so friendly, you feel right at home ☺️👏

The host was helpful, and both the room and house were clean. It’s right in the city center, with Rewe and V-Markt supermarkets about a five-minute walk away.
