Europa Hotel

The room was comfortable, though very small, just about enough for one person. Breakfast felt limited and could have had more. It was a nice stay overall, with supermarkets and transport nearby.

The only real bright spot was the friendly, helpful staff. The room and bathroom were far smaller than the pictures suggested, and the room had no climate control, so regulating the temperature was difficult. There was no refrigerator either, and the old, worn bed sheets need replacing. The hotel feels very old and smelled musty. The window and rolladen were in poor shape, which affected ventilation and light control, and the general atmosphere wasn't inviting. Breakfast was mediocre, maybe a 5 out of 10. The coffee was cheap, and the buffet didn't have enough meat. Wi-Fi was extremely slow and unstable, making even basic use nearly impossible and very frustrating.

The worst part was the noise from the nearby parking area on weekend nights. Drunk kids were there from midnight until 6:30 a.m., and I couldn't sleep at all. That wiped out the hotel's good points: it's close to a tram stop, the staff are pleasant and helpful, and the bathroom was clean and good. The hotel is relatively old, the rooms are very small, and the Wi-Fi is bad.

There's a good breakfast selection, and a cafe with food right outside. The staff are friendly, including the housekeeping team, and the place is clean. It's a simple, no-fuss hotel in a handy spot for Kehl and Strasbourg, with trams nearby. Recommended, and I'd stay again.
