There are lots of nearby places to explore, from restaurants, bars, and shops to countryside walks, football games, sports facilities, museums, and other attractions. The hotel's own bar and restaurant serves excellent burgers and draws friendly locals, so it was a nice place to mingle. During my week there, the owner welcomed me right away, and all my special requests were met. My room was very nice and clean, with daily maid service. It's a small, family-owned hotel with outstandingly friendly service from management and staff. For me, it was a great holiday base for experiencing German hospitality and culture.

Thanks to the kind people there for being around while I was going through surgery 🙂

The disco and bar in the hotel building made sleep impossible. I'm not especially sensitive to noise, and I had earplugs, but they didn't help. At 1:30 a.m. I had to call the police, since reception was unmanned. The DJ was good ;) but the night was an absolute disaster. I was exhausted starting my second training day on Sunday, and if I could, I'd give this negative stars. I'm surprised by all the positive reviews; surely someone must have noticed this before? I was staying here for a training course. The hotel itself is old, but clean and generally okay. Please read carefully if you're considering it.
