Maira - Sonnenhof 8

Hello, fellow Baltic Sea fans. We returned to Kellenhusen for Christmas and New Year's, and this time booked the Maxi apartment at Sonnenhof. It was huge, with lots of room for the three of us, two children and one adult. Each child had a bedroom of their own, and the two bathrooms with showers made the stay comfortable. The dining table is so big that eight people can sit around it, so friends came over for breakfast every morning. The apartment looked just like the pictures and was neat and nicely furnished. We all felt very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed for a holiday, including a large fridge-freezer, dishwasher, oven, stove, pots, pans, and dishes. There were even board games, which we enjoyed in the mornings and evenings. It was our second time at Sonnenhof, and we'll definitely come back. Until then, stay healthy. The place is beautifully kept, with clean apartments and charming, understated decor. Booking was easy, too. I've stayed here in different apartments with family and friends, in every season, and it's always been a lovely spot to unwind by the sea. Already looking forward to coming back!

We loved how peaceful the apartment was, even though the promenade and pier are only about a five-minute walk away. The Baltic Sea location is fantastic, and the apartment worked perfectly for us. We'd happily book it again. :-)

We were very disappointed with the condition of the place. The shower drain was blocked, and the bathroom flooded the first time we used it. In the kitchen, the faucet was broken, dripping onto the shelves and leaving the pots wet; the shelf was already brown from rusty water. There was also a large, unpleasant stained patch beside the sink. Cleanliness was poor. I counted 10 spiders on the walls and ceilings, and many corners had dusty cobwebs. A lot of the window frames were dirty and stained, and there was mold on the kitchen window. The 220V lamp cable had been badly repaired, with copper wire visible. There was no smoke detector in the children's room.
