I stayed at Pension Bergcafe for a night on my way to South Tyrol. It’s a pleasant little guesthouse set away from Kempten’s busy center. Arriving late felt a bit eerie, though the key pickup at the entrance was contactless and worked just fine. The room is basic but practical; I did miss having an armchair to relax in, and the shower stall felt pretty tight for an adult. Breakfast was okay. There’s no half-board, so I’d suggest walking 10-15 minutes to the restaurant "s Fillebänkle" at the Landhotel Hirsch, which has a lovely beer garden. For a night while passing through, Pension Bergcafe did the job.

Breakfast was delicious, with a great view from the dining area and my room window. The room was clean, and the service was friendly. I was even offered a garage spot for my motorcycle. Definitely recommend!
