Das Luegstein

We came back in February 2024, this time for a whole week. It's quiet and restful, just the place to recharge. From Munich airport the drive is only about 1.5 hours, if you're flying in. I'm sure I'll update this again later, because we'll definitely return. On our February 2023 visit, the place was even better than we'd expected. It was new and very clean, with a spacious room, comfortable beds, and even a fireplace. The sauna area was great, and the owners made us feel so warmly welcomed. We were already looking forward to coming back and would happily recommend it.

Despite being peaceful, the place is close to the airport and to great skiing at SkiCircus and SkiWelt. The rooms are modern and spacious, the sauna is excellent, and the owners are super friendly. It sounds almost too good to be true, but we found it exceptional and would highly recommend it.

We spent two wonderfully restful weeks in the garden apartment in Luegstein. With its terrace and completely quiet setting, it was just right. We haven't felt this refreshed in years. We'd go for a little hike, enjoy the sauna, then read or lounge on the terrace and sleep in. Absolutely lovely. The landlady is about as friendly as anyone could be, and we couldn't have asked for more. Ten out of ten!

The house is wonderfully secluded, with only birdsong and the soft clanging of cowbells to hear. We stayed there for a few days in early August, three of us in one of the smaller "Bergwelt" holiday apartments. It was spotless, pleasant, and had a beautiful view. The bread delivery was a lovely extra, and someone was always around when we had a question. The weather was a little rainy, but the days were still lovely. We could always finish them by relaxing in the well-kept sauna, which was wonderful.
