The Burg family made us feel welcome, and the house is a lovely little place. Our room was very spacious and had its own shower, which I appreciated. Wi-Fi is available, and there was generally a parking spot. It also worked well as a base for exploring the area or visiting Europa-Park. Breakfast isn't offered, so I don't see that as something to rate. Most rooms have a kettle for anyone who needs coffee; it's a nice extra, though I didn't need it.

The balcony is huge, though the view is only so-so, and the IKEA furnishings feel modern. The apartment seems to have been renovated in the past five years and is in good shape. For a place meant for 6-8 people, the living and dining space feels small. Four can sit comfortably in the living room, perhaps six, but not eight; the dining area next door works for eight. The sloped ceiling stays under 2.5 m even at its highest, which adds to the cramped feel. There's room for a dishwasher in the kitchen, but no dishwasher. That brought my rating down from four stars to three, since I expect one at this size and price.

The room was spotless, well looked after, and newly furnished in a modern style. My two sons and I stayed for a weekend and felt right at home.

The cleaning staff deserve a mention, they're fantastic. Everything was lovely and very clean, with all the things you need. It was simply wow, and I'd definitely come back.
