Landhotel Garni Engelhard

Manuela, Alex, Sheila, and the rest of the staff made us feel like part of the family. We’d only planned to stay one night, but the setting was so lovely that we added another. Don’t miss this place if you’re after a hotel stay that feels different.

We liked it enough to stay an extra night. The rooms are spacious and very clean, the staff were excellent, and having air conditioning was a real plus. There are lots of interesting places a short drive away, and the price was very reasonable.

The landlady went out of her way to help us find Christmas Markets and local craft fairs, even giving us clippings for places to visit. She was warm, efficient, and very personable. We came across this hotel while looking for somewhere central for exploring the area, and were glad we booked four days. The four of us, two couples, were touring Christmas Markets along the Romantic Road for ten days. Our modern rooms were spotless and comfortable, with heated bathroom tiles and towel racks that were especially welcome during cold nighttime visits. The staff cleaned the rooms while we had breakfast each morning. Breakfast itself had loads of choices on a beautifully arranged buffet. The little town sits in a lovely setting, close to plenty of interesting places. We’d happily stay here again, even if it meant going out of our way.

We had a very enjoyable stay here. The owner was friendly and helpful, breakfast was very good, and the rooms were spacious, clean, modern, and comfortable. It felt like a true four star hotel.
