The location and view were really nice. The room was fine, though there was no refrigerator, the bed was hard, and the shower head wouldn’t stay in place. It was also very hard to turn the shower on and off. The Christmas dinner was good, but service was a little delayed. I was disappointed that I couldn’t use the steam bath or red light sauna upstairs at the massage place. They weren’t on the previous day. When I mentioned it to staff, they said they’d look into it. This morning, a staff member told me they only needed to be switched on and would take a couple of hours to heat up. If someone had done that yesterday, I could have used them this morning.

We chose this hotel for our wedding anniversary and my birthday, and it was a relaxing place for the occasion. The food in the restaurant was all good, and the waiters and waitresses were so friendly. We loved the spa massage, and I enjoyed the view from the sauna. There was hair in the bathroom that wasn’t ours, my one small complaint, but it didn’t spoil the vacation. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

The park area is absolutely stunning, and the location is great, with sophisticated wineries all around. I’d happily come back. It’s a cute, modern hotel with plenty of amenities and great staff. Breakfast was really good for a four-star hotel, with lots of healthy options I appreciate, like eggwhite bread, herbal quark, and granola with fruit. We didn’t have room service refill the water or coffee during our two days, and only found out when leaving that you need to ask. Given the sustainability aspect, I agree it doesn’t need to be done daily. The spa usually opens at 1:30, which feels a bit late to me. You can ask reception about going earlier, but it can’t be before 11. Mornings are usually colder, and I prefer the spa then, leaving walks or wine tours for the afternoon. I’d have to communicate my wishes more clearly next time, about room service and spa opening times.

The reception staff were friendly, efficient, and helpful, always with a smile. The continental breakfast had lots of tasty choices for everyone. Rooms are fresh and modern, and some have fabulous views. The hotel sits just outside town with wonderful vistas, and it’s handy for walks and cycle routes that start only metres away.
