The restaurant has its regulars and card players, and serves tasty, filling local food. This is a small, two-star Gasthaus in a quiet setting, likely especially peaceful in summer. The village has lots of farmhouses and buildings made of traditional red brick. A great fit if you don't want to stay in a larger city.

The food was amazing, and the town where Zur Linde is located is so cute, like something out of a fairytale. I'm from the US, so the room and bed were smaller than I expected, but I'd go back in a heartbeat. Check-in was a bit of a challenge because I don't speak German and arrived on a day they were closed, so finding my room key took some effort. Still, everyone's overall kindness more than made up for it.

This was our second stay at Gasthaus zur Linde, and the cost was good value for money. The room was splendid, very well appointed, and scrupulously clean. Breakfast was high quality, and the evening Menüs were very well prepared. One thing to know is that the restaurant is closed on Wednesdays (Ruhetag). The Gasthaus is about 7 kilometers outside Verden, with easy road connections to nearby towns and villages. There was loud applause when we arrived in Neddenaverbergen, but it was for the Grünkohl König, not for us. Still, it captured the excellent atmosphere perfectly. We didn't bring our bikes this time because the weather was chilly, but on our previous visit we found superb cycling on safe paths and roads. I recommend this excellent village hotel without reservations. Book early to secure a room.

The staff behaved very well, and the rooms and other areas were clean. The breakfast was served very nicely too. A peaceful place, and worth a visit.

A very nice hotel, with large rooms, a great breakfast, and free parking. Rooms 5 and 6 share a big terrasse, so choose one of those.
