We had a lovely holiday cottage, with wonderful hosts right there on site. It’s in a beautiful National Park area, with sandstone and gritstone crags and woods you can reach on foot straight away. Between the four of us we’d only had two years of school German, but we still managed to communicate with our hosts using modern translation technology and bits we’d picked up over the years.

The bungalow had everything we needed, and we especially appreciated how peaceful it was. We spent five wonderful days there in August. Many thanks to the Gürth family for the drinks and the chance to get to know one another. Keep up the great work, you’re a fantastic family!

We love coming back to this place. It was our second stay in the little dollhouse-like house on a large, fenced property, and it has everything you could want, including bread delivery. It’s so relaxing and restorative. The Gürth family are incredibly lovely and friendly, and even our old dog felt right at home. Thank you for having us as guests again.

A quiet evening with mulled wine by the fireplace is a lovely way to end the day here. This is our third vacation with the Gürth family, and we find what we came for: peace, relaxation, friendly people, good food, and wonderful hiking with our dog. We can recharge, unwind, and enjoy ourselves, then feel completely renewed. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for that kind of stay.

The location worked perfectly for hiking, and Bad Schandau is only about 25 minutes away. We spent a week in the holiday home and enjoyed it very much. Thanks to the Gürth family for their hospitality. We’d love to return. Sincerely, the Köchig family
