The main building has a very old-fashioned feel, from the stairs and general atmosphere to the room itself. At these modern prices, it felt like an '80s stay. We each got one tiny pillow, the bed wasn't very comfortable, and the shower pressure was low. I can't recommend it.

The breakfast was really good and the facilities felt cozy. At check-in, a woman was very kind and let us in early with a smile. Most of the stay was favorable, but I had a bad experience with a young blonde woman at reception. She didn't know how to speak English, and when I used a translator to ask a question, she was rude and negative. I also asked her to arrange a taxi to pick me up at the hotel, but she refused, so I had to get help from another guest.

We arrived late with only a few minutes before the restaurant closed, and the staff still helped us order food quickly and get checked in. Our family room was more than perfect for us, with two separate rooms and two twin beds in each. We highly recommend staying here.

We stayed for three nights in a lovely, spacious second-floor room overlooking the river. Ask for room #1. The German buffet breakfast was delicious and included. We tried dinner too: schnitzel with salad and apple strudel, all just right and reasonably priced. It's a wonderful family-run hotel and restaurant, and we'd definitely stay again.
