The village is small and peaceful, and the place was clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed, including tea and coffee in the hall, dinners to order, and a lunchbox if requested. The staff spoke limited English, or only German, but they were very helpful and got us everything we needed.

We stayed in a standard room that was well equipped and had a nice balcony. The village is a pleasant little place to stay, and the value for money was great. Breakfast was excellent, and dinner was lovely homemade food. Highly recommended!

The waitstaff were attentive and beyond reproach, and the beds were okay. We stayed in the smaller apartment at the family-run Ridder guesthouse from Holy Week through Easter Monday. The prices are reasonable, but I found the food disappointing. Apart from the side salads, which were bagged or premade, the dishes seemed to be made from prepared products. Seasoning, presentation, and attention to detail were mostly lacking, with one evening as an exception. Breakfast could also have been better with a little more effort. I don't understand why the buffet is set up in the entrance area. The apartment wasn't clean, with dust visible to the naked eye, and the heating needed adjusting. After showering, a small puddle formed in the bathroom because water seeped through the tiles from below. These problems may have several causes, and I hope the Ridder family finds the right solutions. I can only hope these were isolated incidents.
