Heidehof

The food was good, and the rooms were nice. The staff were kind, too.

Good.

My Samsung Buds 2 Pro went missing from the room after staff entered to clean it, even though we’d agreed verbally that our rooms should not be cleaned. There were no “Do Not Disturb” signs on the doors, so the message apparently didn’t get through. The owner’s sister offered to compensate me that same evening, but that wasn’t what I wanted. I waited, hoping the earbuds would turn up. Now I’m supposed to claim for the theft through my home insurance, even though we weren’t supposed to have anyone entering the room. The room had been paid for by online bank transfer at checkout, but apparently the payment wasn’t properly verified. Several weeks later, I got an email about a payment reminder. The rooms have very old furniture, and you can hear the neighbors talking and walking around upstairs because the floorboards creak. The whole bed creaked when I turned over at night, and I’m not overweight. Breakfast was truly minimalist, as another reviewer said, and there were no fresh rolls in our room either. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I’d never stay here again, and unfortunately I can’t recommend it.

The rooms were clean and tidy, and the service was very friendly.
