The lake view is lovely, and the apartments are spacious, clean, and comfortably furnished. It must get pretty hectic at the height of summer, though winter is very idyllic. There’s a very nice restaurant next door. The furniture is IKEA, and some pieces could use replacing from time to time.

The house was a comfortable place to relax, which was what we came for, and overall we were satisfied. Lake Wolgast is right beside it, with direct access, and on nice days there are great outings to take. The house has what you need for six people, though calling it a villa is a bit much. It’s functional, but in bad weather six people would probably get on each other’s nerves. The sofa only seats four, so there’s a bit of a scramble for space. At least the beds are comfortable, and there’s free Wi-Fi, so annoying teenagers can be sent off to a bedroom. There are hardly any restaurants nearby, but the “Imperial Spas” aren’t far away. The village has 600 residents, with a five-story Dorint Golfer Hotel standing right in the middle and visible from a distance. It was a bit of a letdown at first, but it made a handy landmark since our holiday home was next door. The complex had three different street names, which confused the GPS, so the Dorint Hotel came in useful.

We booked a short break and found the villas by the lake clean and spacious. The bed was fantastic, and we slept really well. Ahlbeck, about 3 km away, has shops for everyday needs. All in all, a great place to stay.
