Ferienresort Damerow

The bungalows were horrible. I'd seen earlier reviews saying the place was awesome and the staff were cool. Bungalows SJ.

The bungalows are comfortable and good value, close to the beach. There's also a nice restaurant with really friendly staff. The pillows and internet could be better, but otherwise it's a good destination on the North Sea, close to Berlin. 🌊

We spent a week at the Damerow holiday resort with our dog, Elli, and had a wonderful holiday. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and next year we're planning to stay for two weeks. Our holiday home was clean, tidy, and really well equipped. It even had a dishwasher, a dog blanket, and very clean dog bowls. I'd been a bit worried after reading some negative reviews, but our experience didn't match them at all. The resort is in the woods, with a 15-minute walk through the forest to the dog beach. You do have to cross a main road, but that was no problem. The Damerow Forest Lodge sits by the Achterwasser lagoon, which made for lovely evening walks. Koserow's shops are a ten-minute bike ride away. The Forest Lodge also has excellent food and delivers bread.

We didn't expect luxury, but the small bungalow should at least have been clean and tidy. The curtains had come off their tracks, the soap dish in the shower was dirty, and the toilet's hand basin left a lot to be desired. The stove was dirty too. On top of that, they charge €15 for a dog. We definitely won't return.
