It’s a lovely old hotel, full of charm and original features from when it was built in the 1800s as a brewery. It’s basic, but has what you need and is impeccably clean and well cared for. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. It feels more like a bed and breakfast, since there’s no bar or lounge and reception is unmanned for much of the day. The tram is a two-minute walk away and goes to Krefeld centre. It costs €3 in cash, paid to the driver. Breakfast was lovely, with eggs, bacon and the usual continental choices. The Bircher muesli was delicious. There’s no tea or coffee in the rooms or outside breakfast time. It was very hot at night during our stay, with daytime temperatures in the 30s. There’s no air conditioning, and they didn’t have any fans available.

We had breakfast in the restaurant and really enjoyed it. The neighborhood was nice, with a park and a few restaurants within walking distance. The hotel was easy to reach from the train station, and our linens were clean and comfy. The bathroom was fantastic, with heated floors and nice lighting. It was such a cute place with wonderful staff. I loved our stay and would definitely go back.

The photos don’t really do this place justice. It’s got an old-world charm, apparently from its days as a brewery, and feels more like a Romantica Hotel than a modern box chain hotel. The rooms are modern and always top notch, and the breakfast buffet is really good. It’s easy to reach from the highway, and only about 15 minutes from Concenton Center in DDorf. I really do love this place.

It was easy to park here, and I enjoyed the typical German food. My asparagus soup and spetzle were very good. I loved the old German-style hotel, with old objects used as decoration. The rooms had been recently refurbished, were modern, and were fully comfortable.

A nice historic place with good service and breakfast. It gets very crowded in the morning, so you can’t sleep in.
