Holiday Inn Express Krefeld - Dusseldorf by IHG

I'm staying at Holiday Inn Express Krefeld - Dusseldorf on a business trip, and this morning was extremely disappointing. I had to leave early, and since breakfast was paid for, a staff member had previously told me I could come in early for coffee before breakfast officially opens at 6:30 AM. I arrived based on that information. The employee on duty was hostile and unprofessional. His tone was aggressive and dismissive from the start. He spoke almost entirely in German, although it was clear I'm not fluent. When I politely asked him to clarify and give me his name, he refused. He also stepped on my foot without apologizing. Afterward, he kept speaking in German in an agitated way. I don't fully understand the language, but his body language and expressions were clearly disrespectful, and I felt unwelcome. For an international hotel serving business travellers, basic courtesy and professionalism should be expected. I was treated with hostility over a simple request that had already been approved. The hotel is also in a fairly isolated area with few alternatives nearby, which made this even more frustrating. I hope management looks into the incident carefully and ensures staff treat all guests respectfully and professionally.
