Zentral Hotel Poststuben

After a long bike ride, we were glad to get to bed in good time. The room and bathroom were clean, though the Wi-Fi was unstable. Staff were friendly and let us keep our bikes inside by reception. There's a Chinese restaurant 270 meters from the hotel, highly recommended.

I stayed three nights in a double room with a friend. The room was perfectly fine, and otherwise everything was great. My two small complaints: we only got one key, so we had to coordinate, and the reception area was extremely unpleasant, very dark and old-fashioned. I didn't book breakfast, so I can't comment on it.

The location worked well for me, about a 15-minute walk from the train station, with tram and bus stops a few hundred meters away. My nights were quiet, although you can hear some noise between rooms. I paid €80 a night for a single room and €90 for a double. The welcome was friendly and helpful, and I felt welcome during my two-night stay. My room was small and practical, with a bed, wardrobe, desk and small bathroom with a shower. There was also a TV, Wi-Fi, kettle and bottle of water. Everything was spotlessly clean, and housekeeping is available, though I didn't need it for just two nights. The hotel is very dark and simply furnished. My room was on the second floor, and there's no elevator, so that's good to know. The older dark wood furniture feels outdated, and the place lacks some coziness. There's a lot of potential here, but it needs modernizing.

The rooms are simply furnished but practical, and very clean. Breakfast is straightforward but very good, with fresh fruit, rolls, yogurt, spreads and juices. Communication can be a bit slow, though it didn't spoil the good impression. I'd come back.
