We had a wonderful week in this clean, well-kept holiday apartment with our 3-year-old daughter. Even when it was very hot outside, it stayed pleasantly warm inside.

I’d always found the receptionist friendly and kind, and appointments, referrals, and billing had gone smoothly. I chose the practice because osteopathy alongside physiotherapy seemed like a helpful combination. The head therapist’s treatments had helped me, the atmosphere had been pleasant, and I’d felt good about him personally. That changed today. At my previous appointment I’d asked too many questions, and I knew that had been tiring for him. But that was one visit. Before it, we’d had around seven appointments, maybe more, when that hadn’t been an issue. This time I wasn’t meant to bring up the treatment duration. I’d planned to anyway, so that part was fine. But I also said something had been troubling me for two weeks and causing a lot of stress, and that I couldn’t properly relax unless I got it out today. I wasn’t allowed to talk about it. I became very stressed, and when that happens I clench my jaw and get restless. He knew that, since he’d just asked me about it and was treating that area. I thought perhaps the stress had been brought on intentionally so he could see how the pattern showed up physically. It hadn’t. Instead, he accused me straight away of not engaging in therapy or making an effort, having an opinion on everything, wasting his time, and needing to see a psychologist or fitness trainer who could help me. I was really irritated. Neither of them is trained in the physical effects of major abdominal surgery. I tried to talk through what had clearly been a misunderstanding, but he wouldn’t listen. He stopped the treatment, left the room, and wished me a nice weekend. I’ve rarely felt so badly treated or so abandoned. Now that I’ve been thrown out of therapy, I have to look for someone else who might help. But after this, I’ve lost the confidence to go anywhere. I’m sensitive and can’t cope with this sort of behavior. The abrupt switch from everything being fine to being told it was all pointless because I wasn’t engaging was a real shock. His killer argument was, “He’d notice.” How can you prove to someone that you’re trying, doing the work, and can’t give any more? He concluded that his therapy wouldn’t work for me. I’ve never been kicked out of therapy before. I’d had high hopes that the treatment would help, so this hit especially hard. That’s why I’m giving one star. I think anyone can understand.

The premises are lovely and clean. Definitely recommended...😉
