Our balcony had magnificent views, though not every room has one. The area was peaceful and the beach was just across the road. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. Breakfast mixed traditional English options with German cheese, cold meats, and condiments. The service was fabulous, especially Clem, who's amazing. Highly recommended.

The high ceilings in the rooms are a nice touch, and the food tastes great. Still, I barely slept because the walls are so thin: I could hear the man next door snoring, and traffic was loud through the hotel's old windows. The hotel itself is beautiful, but the noise was a real problem.

If you're looking for somewhere in Kühlungsborn that stays open past 9 p.m., this is the place. The bar is the best in town, the garden lounge is great, and the restaurant has the charm of the 1920s.

The location is hard to beat, right across from the Baltic Sea beach, and the steakhouse and hotel bar are a great addition. We're looking forward to the rest of our week at this lovely family-run hotel. Care shows in everything, from the service and decor to the art and events. Highly recommended.
