This place is one of my favorite spots for eating and staying anywhere. It’s such a lovely old gem, and they make you feel like family. One of Bavaria’s best little hideaways!

I had a wonderful time over my three nights and would happily come back. The hotel’s history still shines through, with modern touches added in. The owner was friendly and quick to respond, and the restaurant was fresh and really enjoyable. I especially loved the liver, schnitzel, salad, breakfast, and lava cake.

The restaurant was unbelievable, easily the best food I’ve had in Germany. My room had Sky TV and a lovely bathroom, too. The hotel keeps its old Bavarian look while adding modern comforts, and check-in was quick. They even showed me to my room.

The people here are caring, diligent, and, thankfully, bilingual. I’d recommend booking a table, since the restaurant has classic Bavarian dishes alongside some unusual creations, plus local beers and a good range of wines, aperitifs, and digestifs. There’s something distinctive about nearly every detail, from the hand-carved moldings and furniture to the dining room’s post-Renaissance feel.

I’ve stayed here several times, at different times of year, and the accommodations are incredible. The food is amazing, too. When I retire, I’d love to work for them!
