The layout, lovely terrace, and location were great, and having a garage for the car was useful. But the apartment itself was a letdown. The bed was made when we arrived, yet its end had collapsed. It was already after 6 p.m. and nobody was available, so we had to sleep on the broken, uneven bed. The cleaning staff should have spotted it while making the bed, just as they should have noticed the dirt around and underneath the radiators, bed, and in the corners. The caretaker fixed the bed the next day, but eight days later the other end broke too. One six-year-old child and one adult were using it, so it wasn't being put under any strain. It had two different mattresses, and one was completely worn out. There was also a curtain hanging loose at the window because... The wardrobe doors were almost impossible to close, which was the bedroom's final highlight. In the bathroom, the ancient water heater made the temperature swing from scalding to freezing, so showering meant being careful not to get burned or freeze. The wicker dining chairs looked bad, and their musty smell hit us while we ate. Luckily, we brought our own cutlery, since we wouldn't have wanted to use theirs. The TV only had free channels, with no RTL, and the menu button on the remote was broken. Reading that these problems were already there three years ago made it seem like neither the landlord nor property manager had cared then.
